The Transition Library

25 Veterans who transitioned from the Military to successful careers

Here is a transition library featuring 25 servicemen and women who were willing to share their personal experiences in transitioning out of the service.

Many found ways to make their service experiences and what they learned about life—count with potential employers. They had enthusiasm for making a switch for civilian life.

After watching each video that you have chosen to review and learn from, the video will end, followed by a one-page printable key point summary ( To be provided) this in the future) of what related points each individual credits for their success.

Soon I will become a Navy veteran. I want a listing of 5 towns or cities where:

  1. The cost of living is lower than average
  2. Schools are good
  3. Where the town/state are military friendly
  4. Where there is a good mix of single and married families with children
  5. Where there are many choices for good homes that cost between $150,000 and $225,000
  6. I want to live and work in a military fam-friendly town with a population of 20-50,000 people
  7. Where good jobs are plentiful for military veterans

So, what do you think? If you like it, then go to the next section of putting your ideas into action. If you want to tweak it, go back and forth choosing better words and phrase you like until you are satisfied. Then print a few copies and move to the next section How we are going to work with—The 2000 year old critter.
